And say this better person for you came along, how would you end it with your current significant other and transition to this new person? What would you say/do

I think that is just a "close female friend" as long as there isn't sex.
Sometimes, a little casual touching, and cuddling is OK, but depends on the companion.
I have had a lot of what I call "little sisters" and they are just like that! I treat them, like little sisters, and most of the time it is just sharing times and cuddling, watching movies, when neither of us has a date!
I have NEVER, EVER seen her eat Chocolate cake, or Ice Cream, or anything with a LOT of Calories!! Didn't happen!! :)

@On_cloud_wine Never penetrative sex, but with the friendship, and the time we have known each other, seeing each other naked, or partly naked, isn't any big deal. Playful kissing, like with friends, and just casual, touching, (OK more than I would do with a REAL SISTER, if I had one!) making her giggle and laugh, sometimes teasing, and touching or tickling, just being together, and trusting, not needing sex, to just really like being together!

@On_cloud_wine Self control, and thinking of each other as brother and sister, kind of, and why does Intimacy, and close feelings, LOVE, HAVE to include sex?
Why can't we just be the best of friends, close like siblings, but sometimes tease, and maybe cross some lines, but not crossing the SEX line?
I think a lot of people would be a lot more relaxed, and comfortable, if there wasn't this ASSUMPTION, that being intimate, and loving someone, necessarily meant having sex!
