Would you rather have a personal maid or a personal chef?

I trained with Julian Osmond, who trained with Chef Ramsey. Osmond and Ramsey studied in London and had thier own syndicated shows before Osmond signed on with Crown Plaza-Airport East Holiday Inns, teaching me how to make his signature chicken cordon bleu tastes like all it was worth the $600 a plate people were paying at fundraising events, and a hybrid of filet mignon-smoked brisket that took two and a half days to prepare and about 3 or 4 hours to eat at the risk of sending people to the emergency room with blown pallets and over stimulated taste buds, for a hefty sum of over a month and a half of my rent at the time, for me at the time, if I could afford to eat my own food on the clock, not to mention a decent shepherd's meat pie that would make me employable in any respectable establishment in Ireland or Essex, England.

in a hard bread that kept us too hot until lunch time in the coldest most damp of Michigan Winters and down in the copper mines, a tasty treat I have been known to get have on my bike and pedal over 300 miles to Mackinaw City to partake in a lunch of beef, chicken, turkey, or local salmon and trout meat, pasties with bass and perch, trout and salmon, steel head, pike, and gar fish, for that type of cuisine. Don't even get me started on the Italian pasta sugu I learned to make from my stepfather and mother, who taught me the first knowing how to turn a crock pot into a cauldron of miracle commensables and stick to your ribs family dinner traditions.
Where am I going with all this?😋
I'm glad you asked,🧐 because if I can't afford💸 to eat at a restaurant on my dinner break and eat my own food without taking out a second mortgage on my home, then there's no way I'm going to be 🤑able to afford🤑 a chef who can cook better than me.🙀
I enjoy cooking, but cleaning is a chore, so I would rather have a maid. Not that I mind cleaning that much, actually, but that would be a lot easier to just have someone else magically clean and organize everything while I was out.
But I would feel a bit lazy having someone do all that for me, I like to clean up after myself or I feel like a slob. If I had one personal "assistant" if I was rich, my first choice would be to have a photographer/social media manager. Because we have so much social media these days but I don't spend the time taking photos and videos and creating content, so my social media pages are totally meh. But my life is exciting and fun and I'm always doing something.
A good example: Yesterday I was just walking from my yacht to the dive shop to pick up my scuba tank from inspection and fill, when I saw a seagull with a broken/dislocated wing. She was trying to hop out of the water onto the dock, but couldn't because it requires a small bit of "flight" to get there. I knew she was hosed if she stayed in the water, and there is a net they have near the dunny at my marina for rubbish in the water. So I went and got it and returned. Took my shirt off, then I swept the gull up in the net and got her on the dock. I put my shirt over her head (birds keep still and quiet if they are in darkness with a hood, old falconer's trick) and wrapped her a little in my shirt. I didn't have my cell phone on me, so I left the marina to where the shops were and found someone with a phone to call the wildlife rescue center to send someone around and fetch my gull friend.
Anyhow, it was a mini adventure, and she was a beautiful bird, it was a special moment. But I didn't have my camera on me or even any hands free if I did to document it. Plus I don't want to focus my life on trying to document everything for upload to the feed. But I do think it's cool to share life with others, and this seems to be the way we do it these days.
I have all that... in the sense my house hubby hehehee...
he does all that. Lots of yummy, healthy breakfast... food from our garden.
Personally chef can’t cook diff. ethnic dishes when we want sushi one night, Italian another, Greek, Indian, Thai, Korean, French, grilled seafood/steak... much more fun and easier to go to the restaurant... also nice to give back to the community... they work so hard..
we have a cleaning lady, so that’s taking care of.
then just go for massages when we want to.
the answer would be no... don’t want either.
Thanks for MHO
Personal chef please! As much as I hate cooking, that would be a godsend.
They wouldn't even have to cook for me every day: just meal prep me a week's worth of dishes, put them in some Tupperware containers, and I'm good!
Heck I'll pay them extra if they make my groceries!!! I'm simple to shop for. Ice cream, cereal, cheez-its, protein bars, and maybe some meat and salad stuff? I'm happy!
Don't judge my eating habits 😶
LOL a personal chef not a delivery boy. The Chef can make you fresh meals every night and bring them to you as you play your video games. LOL
Oh.
Well I guess that's okay. But maybe some nights I'm only in the mood for cheez-its 🤔
Yes I know, my eating is are terrible

Uhm, neither honestly.
I don't eat much, we live minimally and my clothes are handled by a private washer, so I wouldn't need neither a maid or a chef. I'd mostly need a nurse for the daily injections and other issues, but my wife already fills that role!
Daily injections? Insulin? Just curious... but yes If you can go without great but if I had the choice its a maid hands down.
Can I have a personal masseuse instead🤔🤔(preferably one that specializes in feet, cuz they be so sore at the end of the day😔)
Giiiiiiiiirl, you get these acupressure footwear things nowadays. Trust me, they work like a dream
That will be my next question lol
@have_a_good_day I'm going to have to look into that... Thanks😊
I enjoying cooking much more than I enjoy scrubbing the toilet! Give me a maid.
Ha Ha Ha good way to look at it.
I don't want either. But someone to clean would be way more useful to me. That's just grunt work. Can't really screw it up or inject it with too much of their own preferences.
I like cooking but I would choose the chef cause you eat every day but you don’t clean your house every day so the chef would save me more time.
Personal chef, 100%. I love food but hate cooking, which is honestly probably due to the limited size of my kitchen, inadequate storage space, and the ancient appliances that my apartment refuses to upgrade. I don't mind cleaning though so I'm happy to do that myself.
A butler. Then the odds of being falsely accused of sexual harassment by one of these feminists who dresses & acts like a whore but cries crocodile tears in the courtroom is zero.
A male chef. History has shown that just about every single one of the best cooks are men.
Profesional made because I can cook pretty well myself, so a professional chef wouldn't be necessary. On the other hand, a professional made I can teach them to cook like I do so that I wouldn't have to lift a finger. They'd be able to cook, clean, and bring me stuff when I want it. This would make my life a lot more efficient, and I can focus on school and extracurriculars more.
It would be cool to have a personal chef, but where's the fun in that? I would want to make things myself, and get better at it that way :) not if I didn't have the time to make meals, that's a different story lol
A personal chef.
I need to eat every day but I don't need to clean every day.
Also, they would know how to cook healthy yet yummy food and everything.
Ahhhhh very good point.
I live alone in my house so I have to cook. Also I hardly eat out because my daily meals are healthy. Always jealous of super rich people that have a chef. Some people enjoy cooking but to me it feels like a chore. Cleaning my house is no big deal because it's just me here and it's a 1 story 3 bedroom 2 full bath. It's not a big house in my opinion so it's easy to clean.
So from all that definitely a chef.
This is really hard for me because I like cooking and cleaning lol, but it would nice to have someone reduce the burden of one of those for me.
I think I’m gonna go with Chef because it can be stressful at times coming up with something new, and tasty, to cook that everyone will enjoy. With a chef we could eat something new every day.
Personal maid. I can order food or cook on my own, both of which are fun. I don't like cleaning (even though I love a clean space), so a maid would be perfect, especially to clean up after I cook.
I would say a chef for sure! Especially coming from a fitness side of things diet is one of the things that is very important and I wish I could eat much better, therefore a chef would come in handy.
If I had to have one or the other I'd rather have a maid. I love creating a meal. It's an art form for me. I cook as a therapy.
Besides, my wife complains I don't clean "properly" (not sure what that means) so someone else doing it might help my marriage!
I can’t cook. That’s the honest truth. So I’ll take the chef. Cleaning is a breeze.
Maid. Cooking is fun, but you'd have to be deranged to enjoy tidying up.
Id rather have the best of both words. A respectful wife or girlfriend to do both. TF does she need a career for?
Personal chef. I have food allergies (gluten and dairy). I would like to see what a chef could come up with. 🤔 My meals can get boring!
I love cooking and hate cleaning. For that reason, the maid wins for me by just a bit. Professional restaurant quality meals 24/7 does sound amazing.
Tough one. I love to eat so I think I'm leaning towards always having these wonderful new and exotic dishes always at my fingertips.
I pick the maid, it's more time consuming to keep the house clean then its to cook meals.
Maid for sure. I hate cooking but I hate cleaning even more so 🤷♀️.
My husband & I can cook. We appreciate help cleaning up the house.
Maid. I’d probably gain too much weight if I had a chef in here!
maid. I'm pretty decent and enjoy cooking more than the rest of the housework XD
my OCD tendencies said no to both... I have to do it myself... lol.
Food is important, especially good food. I'm going with personal chef.
I quite like cooking, it's the clearing up bit I hate so I'm going for the maid.
Maid for sure. Cleaning is such a hassle. I would love to have everything clean and fresh laundry all the time. Without having to take a day out of my weekend to clean my place.
I like to cook, and eat out. Would never use a chef.
Actually I love all housework, but I prefer and enjoy cooking and feeding people. I also love to be self-dependent but if I HAVE to choose between the two it has got be the maid.
I can cook lol I just need someone to clean and do the dirty work.
Neither one because I love cooking and feel good about myself when I get the cleaning done knowing I took care of my stuff.
Rather someone that cleans wash clothes and shange bed clothes than cooks and bakes.
Prefer to do that myself
Give me that personal chef might as well eat well if everything else I do is unhealthy, so when I come home hey! At least I got a nicely cooked steak and a fancy fruit and cheese board for dinner 😂
Personally i won't keep both coz i can cook and i do my household works on my own coz I don't want anyone to interfere in that and makes me angry...😅.
Chef for sure. Give her the macro Split and micronutrient goals I have for the next few months. Make it happen and make it good.
I keep a pretty clean home.
I love food so I would say I rather have a personal chef 🥞🍕🌮🥙🥗🍝🥘🍲🍰🍪🥧🥮🧁
Personal maid and hopefully she cleans my place topless, lol.
A personal chef I have so many ideas for this woman to cook it’s unbelievable and incredible
I'd be able to manage cooking for myself. I'd rather have the maid
Personal chef. Because exercising isn't as much my problem as eating right is. And after 40 you can exercise forever, if you ain't eating right you're almost wasting your time. Lol
If I'm left my devices I'm always going to opt for fast food.
I honestly really want a butler instead but a maid wouldn't hurt either but I rather cook my own food so no no chef please.
Since I love food and hate cleaning, the choice is clear, a maid.
maid or butler it dont really matter. But If I could choose. I would take Lurch
Chef. Dont get too eat good food that often😥😓mostly junk
Where did you get this question from? Someone at work randomly asked me this a few days ago. Just strange to see it popup here.
I enjoy cooking, I hate cleaning. Therefore Maid it is.
Chef. If I had a S/O, we male roleplay (maid play included)
*make
How about a maid who can cook and give massages?
I'll take the chef - - I spend more time cooking than cleaning.
Id take both please. And my wife would be the one to creatively hand pink them.
My wife would say that I already have a personal maid.
I've had bad experiences with people working at my house, so none. I prefer to do it myself.
Made I'm a good cook and enjoy cooking
I'm a pretty darn good cook myself, so I think I'd rather have a maid. I'm pretty good at making messes. LOL
I’ll take the chef. I keep my house clean as is. But with a chef I could host parties and feed lots of people.
Im struggling to envision the person who could Deserve that!
Chef, the Maids would disrupt the way I like things
I'll go with Maid, I can cook😁
A maid. I can always rustle up some beans on toast but housekeeping is a chore.
