I just found out my boyfriend is a squatter, what do I do?

We've been dating for a year. We are long-distance. I went to his house and it is very in poor condition. It is a one room house with an outdoor bathroom. But it's on a mountain and the views are beautiful. So, people with money are buying the land to develop. The owner came by and said he can keep staying there until he sells the land. Which can be anytime. He lives in a rural area that is developing. So, if and when the owner sells the land/house for development. he will be homeless. Should I leave him? Why didn't he mention this to me before? I feel like he is a bum.

Yeah. Definitely a bum. If he doesn't easily get into a new place, I'd dump him.
