Yes, I definitely never got closure which really hurt, but I'm sure he doesn't feel the same way and has long since moved on. It's unfinished business to me, but not to the other person.

Well, you can always reach out to him and try to get the closure you need. You can make it clear that your only intentions for reaching out is specifically for that and hopefully he is kind enough to give it to you without being a jerk.
