No. It's over at that point. One or both parties may be in denial, but if they think getting away from each other is going to make things better, then the relationship is no good anyway.
Heck no, and women are usually the main ones that say it because most don't like being direct. It's simply translation for I don't love and / or respect you anymore. Also, there's more than likely another guy's d*ck she wants to suck. Guys: tell her "f*ck you", move on, and work on yourselves. Women are fickle.
The moment you take brake he will move on in a single blink of an eye, unless when you two are residing somewhere far away in the deserts. Where he won't see no other female in a long ass run.
So talk it out between you two if it fails take your separate roads. @Desconhecida
Nope. Even if no one cheats while time of the break, few days long yearning for each other confirm just mutual addiction. It doesn't mend emotional wounds or solves fundamental problems in a relationship.
No I don´t see how it helps the situation either you can solve the problem or can´t. I´d rather prefer other people like friends or counselors to step in for help but I don´t see how taking off should help.
I think it does quite the opposite - It does what happened to Ross and Rachel - you'll have me screaming "WE WERE ON A BREAK" all along as I somehow try to explain to her how I love her but I still easily slept with someone else
@jerdanro If you are still in a relationship a break (trial separation) does not nullify that because you may still get back together. If you do not plan on getting back then you can't call it a break. It's an ending.
This on again off again thing shows that y'all's dunno how to talk things through... Don't get me wrong, there is a difference between a bit of space to cool down and taking a break, I think the former is good... It gives one clarity, time to cool down etc etc but once this (really short) period passes, things must be dealt with. The latter is ass for we struggling to communicate effectively.
11 times out of 9 "taking a break" = "wants to bang other people with it being considered cheating." Men, if those words ever leave her lips, break up with her on the spot!
Taking a break leads to experiencing other women and options in general, which is NOT recommended if you want to make things work with your current partner.
I don't think so. I've never been in such situation but taking a break is giving you both the opportunity to meet other people and that's actually the opposite of saving a relationship.
No because if there not willing to talk about what ever then then u might as well give it up for good because taking a break only leads to sex with other's. God Bless

Not for me, but others I know it has.
Taking a break for me, seems to show how much happier I am without him.

No. If a girl tells me we need to take a break,
dont be mad or supprised. When i start sleeping around Or looking for a replacement.
your gunna be in this with me 100%. Or not at all. I dont play those games

I don't think so. If I hear someone say they're taking a break, my normal assumption is that the relationship is over.
Sometimes, or it can lead to cheating and infidelity during the break and that is not helping.
Is it cheating if you're on a break?

Also don't take my opinion seriously 😜

A break destroys a relationship. Because you're just breaking up. If you need time away from someone then clearly you need to stay single
I don't believe in "breaks" - you either work through problems together or you break up, but breaks never end well.

No, it's more like saying it is over without admitting it right away. Sort of like slowly removing a bandaid rather than just quickly ripping it off.

Usually when one person says they want a break it means they already have found somebody else.
I feel like all this is is a way to postpone a breakup and give whoever proposed it time to fuck around, honestly.
