What is worse never experiencing love or fake love (everything was a lie)?

Which of these scenarios would be worse to you:
A) You never experienced what's it like loving a partner, falling in love. You don't know what a romantic relationship is like. It never happened to you.

B) You've experienced romance in the relationship but years later find out everything (even your initial friendship) was a scam/lie. The user was also a sociopath going after money.

While you're experiencing love (first or not) everything is... heightened, for the lack of a better word.
The nightmare begins after the relationship ends.

Experiencing fake love.. if it felt real to me in the moment that is what matters. You will never know for sure when it comes to love anyway. A person later saying they never loved or liked you at all could also be lying.
I only experienced someone having feelings for me once.. maybe I made it up, but I sensed something in my heart and it was so strong. I really hope I experience that again even if it will end in heartbreak.
