What's the biggest promise you've willingly broken, and why did you do so?

A then friend made me promise not to tell someone what was happening with him but I had enough of him thinking he could handle his mental health issues by himself or just me to lean on because I was being dragged down myself so I told my mam and she said it to his mam and he got the help he needed. He’s much better now but the stress I put on myself for the months he wouldn’t let me say anything to anyone got to me and I went down the drain of depression and suicidal thoughts and my maths teacher being a bitch wasn’t helping.
I sort of leaned on him a little, while trying to get help myself without even asking him for the help that much, certainly not as much as he asked me.
He stopped talking to me and when I did get him to tell me what’s wrong he said that my mental health issues were causing him pain and I was asking too much of him. I apologised and began not asking help at all, just thought what’s the point if he didn’t want to help me? Why would someone else?
It got to the point where I wrote goodbye letters and did the deed to my wrists in the school bathroom. Another friend saw me on the floor and called for help (I was unconscious at that point) I woke up in the hospital with him at my bedside, called me a selfish twat and that my other friend should’ve just let me die..
Safe to say that hurt a lot. The pain I felt in my body the moment he shouted those words was a lot worse than cutting myself.
We don’t talk anymore. I cut him from my life. He still gives out that I helped him get better because maybe then he wouldn’t have to look at me in school.
And he always wondered why I have trust issues…

I promised my ex's father before we started dating that I would be a good friend to her daughter and look out for her when no one else would.

I tried as hard as I could. One of the only promises I didn't keep.
