Boyfriend is regularly taking hours to reply and isn’t acting as attentive as before?

I started dating a guy I like. At the start he was really attentive and texted a lot for about the first month. However, he is starting to take longer and longer to text ( he checks his phone fairly often when I’m with him so I know he looks), it takes him hours to reply. He’s also stopped being so verbally attentive and less warm towards me. I feel kinda sad about this and asked and he said that he just is working a lot on his final project for college. However it just feels like something has changed with him. What do you guys think?

I would suggest having a talk with him about this, but since you already have then I guess all you can really do is decide if you want to stay in that relationship. It sounds like things are still pretty new, maybe a few months in, and if that’s the case then this is probably the honeymoon phase wearing off. When a relationship starts, the novelty of it is exciting, you’re eager to talk and see each other, more engaged and that period of time earns its name for a reason. But I think you know you’re in the right relationship when maybe that “novelty” ends a bit but not really. You’re always eager to hear from or see them, they’re still your best friend and you still care the way you did from the start. Sometimes in relationships we come to find that the person we fell for just isn’t the right fit, and it’s hurtful but that’s a risk we choose to take once we start dating. So maybe you should take some time to yourself to sit and ask the hard questions, unfortunately.

most likely he is less interested. BUT! he might be a bit juvenile.
when i was in highschool, i introduced two of my friends and they hit it off right away. 3 weeks into the relationship the dude would just disappear on her and would only hang out when i was there. when i asked him what's up he said that everything went smooth but then he realised that they have nothing to talk about, they barely know each other so he needed me as a proxy.
maybe he has the same problem.

I wouldn't count on it lasting. You make time for what's important to you. People get busy but if they keep using that as an excuse then it's really a hint they aren't that into you
