how cheap , what do you think of this one?

You should see if he still wants to marry you after 6 months or a year. Maybe he got it out of a cracker jack box, lol. but it's the thought that counts. If someone took time to make a hand made card it's much nicer than an expensive store bought card. How much was the ring that you bought him cost?
Bad especially because my partner would know a cheap ring would make me feel like I’m not worth much in their eyes

If an expensive ring is that important to you, maybe you should not think about marriage. It's supposed to be symbolic.
Do consider a simple 18c gold band for under $200, or a beautifully wrought sterling silver band for under $80 to be expensive?
I would feel that he thought our relationship was only worth 10 cents of some damn kid's game to him. And also I would realize he really like those Cracker Jacks prizes, especially the rings.

I own a ring, that I paid only 12€ for and it's still shiny and silver after 4 years of daily use... so it only depends on the quality

He could’ve at least picked an inexpensive ring of a good quality if he was concerned about financial stuff. It’s not about the price, it’s about the quality. You can get a good quality ring for a low price.
oh I mean even if he just wanted to get something more affordable he should have still checked the quality of the jewelry. I would stop wearing it. we don’t wear jewelry that leaves our fingers green.

it depends on whether he can afford something better. some guys are so poor , a 50 dollar ring is all they can afford. but if you know he has money, its a huge red flag.

Is it at least gold or silver? An engagement is something you wear for the rest of your life. It shouldn't turn you finger green.

A stone is unnecessary for an engagement ring but the metal should be quality.
