Hide the fact that they cheated from everyone

Tell their partner that they cheated

Brag to their friends they cheated

I've never cheated on someone who has been someone special for me but someone I loved cheated on me. She tried to find a reason why she cheated and started to deceive me with telling me "I love you" while the fact she didn't do at these particular moments.
I think cheaters are people who try find satisfaction in being amoral but aren't willing to lose some who really satisfied their needs. They are like addicts, on one hand they glorify their malice and depict themselves as winner but deep inside they know they are victims of their emotional instability.

They try to lie to cover it up, even when talking to their friends, but over time, the dates of their stories are inconsistent and it gets revealed that they were with the new person before their prior relationship ended.
