How important is it for you to have an intelligent partner?

Intelligence is important, but intelligence should not be confused with a college degree. I hold a Master of Engineering degree, and I met a woman on a cruise ship who was a retired NYC bus driver who had a high school diploma. This lady was up to speed on current events and was well informed so that she could carry on an intelligent conversation on many subjects.

More to the point, she had stories about driving a bus in NYC that ranged from downright hilarious to absolutory terrifying.

I'd say it's important.

I mean, it would be nice to date someone smart/intelligent, with who you can talk.

Intelligence means different things to different people.

When some people say that they want an intelligent partner, they mean that they want someone who they can carry on an intelligent conversation with. Personally, I'd rather marry a girl who's a genius at math, science, or coding, even if she's not very good at making conversation or if she's too smart for me to understand what she's talking about.
