Would you be more or less pissed if you were merely 'hit' as opposed to 'punched'?

You thought you were punched but they clearly feel they only 'hit' you. We will say with equal force for both.

I frequently write up incident reports and I have to use specific terms like “she made physical contact with his facing using a closed fist” or I would use the term “assault.” I would then go on the describe the effects of that assault, such as bruising etc.


But if I were describing the way someone hit me in conversation, I would say she punched me.


She doesn’t get to try and convince the person she assaulted that it’s less than what it was.

I would be less upset by a hit... and more of a reaction would come if I were to be punched, that's definitely a different level when it comes to aggression and confrontation

but my opinion has NOTHING to do with the Amber-Depp situation, nor is a judgement on their case, of which, I don't know much at all

I speak merely on my experiences with some dudes that have been a bit physical with me for various reasons, lol

It's a game of words.

If same force is applied, then there is no difference between hit and punch, as while hitting, you fold your fingers in a punch. Only the intensity difference is there.

Slapping does not count as hitting. It is in a different segment.

I think i would of gotten a divorce from this woman a long time ago. and this whole drama in court is a waste of time.
both of these people were wrong and this whole thing needs to just be let go.
they were both wrong and i would hate it if anyone hit me or punched me too.

You know when someone hits (not matter which kind) me then I pretend that I'm in fault. So that the one who did it will get the punishment from guilt and learn and come down from their ego.

Assuming they ever feel guilt over it, and if that guilt alone is enough to change something that is part of their character... anger management and cognitive behavioral therapy work better in my experience

@SmokyOne mostly most of my bullies have hit me out of ego and this trick works well on them. I won't do this if it is some jerk. And I don't do this with a same person many times. Everything have a limit.
