I'm I overthinking?

My girlfriend lives in a hostel where mobile phones are allowed only from 5-9.

She have classes till 4 and when i text her after 5, she sometimes takes so long to get reply. Her phone will be right with her. I'm sure she's seeing the texts and ignoring because her friends are with her.

Yes friends are there, but from morning to evening she's with them and after 9 she can spend time with them. She have no assignment and have nothing to do now.

I'm not asking to spend entire 5-9 with me. But why not at least reply for messages when her phone is right infront of her.

I always get annoyed by this.
Do you think I'm over reacting?

I think you are overthinking it. Maybe she is using that time to unwind and relax. Also, some people are just not into texting as much as others.

That said, maybe talk to her about setting aside some time to talk. Communication is important, so it isn't unreasonable to request that perhaps the last hour of her allowable phone time she can chat.

You are welcome. Maybe do as I suggested and come to some sort of agreement that you will set aside some time (alone) to text or talk.

It is about give and take. I don't think you would be asking too much to have a little time and allow her the majority of the time with her friends or doing whatever she does. There should be a compromise somewhere there. Good luck!
