Is there, in fact, possible to meet your soul mate?

I have my doubts about what people refer to as soulmates.

I don't think that those soulmates exist. Wikipedia defines a soulmate as

"a person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity. This may involve similarity, love, romance, platonic relationships, comfort, intimacy, sexuality, sexual activity, spirituality, compatibility and trust."

However, a relation also involves differences in opinions and when people have opposite characters and personalities, you are bound to have conflicts within the couple. Those conflicts can potentially endanger the harmony of the couple and that is why I do not believe in soulmates.

If there would never be any conflicts, that would mean that the one partner has to agree with the other all the time and that is a lack of character and that person cannot be a soulmate in my eyes.

I believe we all have connections and soul mates. Unfortunately sometimes we meet them a little too early. A little too late. Not at all. Sometimes if your lucky you will meet that special someone and that's when you have the most perfect relationship.
I met mine a little too late.

There’s no such thing as soulmates because you are unique in your own way. Soulmate means that you start relying on someone else to complete you, to heal you, to make you happy again, to make life worth living. And that’s dangerous. Because the only one who can save you, is you.

soul mates, with an s on the end, the belief that there's jus one is nonsense lol, i know from experience, i mean there may be one who is perfect for you, but she doesn't like you back, so is that really a soul mate?

I don’t believe God cosmically forces people together with no alternate abbreviations to account for free will but I do believe when two decent people choose each other, that God expects them to be loyal to their loving and non abusive partner.

That is a very interesting question. In order to identify if a person is your soul mate you need to meet up with a bunch of people and with some of them you will understand you have a deep connection and from that point you will get to know those people even better and you may find your soulmate. However it's very hard as you might be close with a person but they won't be your soulmate. It shouldn't be your ultimate goal I believe.
