It depends on your definition of equal. In terms it takes two to be a team and thus we are equal partners in a relationship? Sure yeah that’s fair.


Men and women have their pros and cons within a relationship, the wise ones understand this and helps the other with their weaknesses which helps move the relationship forward as a effective unit

They can be. The question is do they choose to be equal? Or do they want to do what happened in the 1950s? Its entirely their choice.

What does it mean when you say "men and women are equal?" Does that mean that they have identical physical and mental abilities? Does it mean that they have equal rights to employment and housing opportunities? Does it mean that they should do identical chores if they are living together? Etc.

males and females are not meant to be equals in everything. however they are meant to be compatible with each other in many things.

side rant - many males are opting out of long term relationships and/or parenthood these days. due to outdated laws regarding those topics which continue to favor females in a breakup. because he can have his life ruined by her rather easily in a breakup. with not only alimony payments and child support payments but also losing the house, car and custody of his children to her. since in many cases courts award the mother majority custody with the father only getting visitation. less then half of custody cases end in a 50/50 split and less then 10% end with the father getting majority custody. because he'll typically have to prove she was an unfit mother or she walked away from being a parent.

It depends on if both are putting in as close to equal as they can into the relationship. Because a quick way to make a relationship between anyone unequal is when one party isn't putting in as much as the other. It comes back to the idea of people getting out of a relationship what they put in. So if a woman isn't holding up her end of it she is unequal and the same goes for men.

Lol equal? Absolutely not. Most relationships I've seen has been either toxic, or the guy is shutting up and saying "yes dear" while giving her the paycheck while being yelled at any time he wants some alone time doing something he enjoys.
