I think a part of a true, long-lasting relationship is learning how to grow together. You will not be the same people in 20 years that you are right now, and if you can't adjust to that gradual change together, then the relationship will come to an end.

Not really. Being married doesn't change anything, except fulfil some arbitrary condition for some government forms, to which the solution should be to fix the system, not obey that pointless system.

Being married really doesn't change anything. It's just a legal connection to someone you love and the divorce is a process.
I would agree with you if I left my marriage and who I chose to marry up to feelings. But I didn't. Love is choices and actions.
