Do you think you are ready for a Relationship, Marriage or Kids? What does being ready mean to you?

A lot of people have goals towards these things in life. The thing they do not realize is that they might not be ready or prepared for it.

I want to know what others think it means to be ready.

So many times people just want these things and never have the tools to hold a healthy relationship and learn to walk away from a partner in a healthy manner.

When others think of marriage and kids they do not understand what comes with the responsibilities as well as the changes that are inevitable.

For me, being ready means preparing yourself for a massive change and I definitely don't think I am.

I'm not against the idea of finding a long term relationship, but I've never had one before, so I can't really miss it and regardless of looks, no one is prefect, so I've basically got to ask myself if I'm willing to put up with someone else's flaws to the point where I think a relationship is worth it.

As for marriage, I view it the same as a long term relationship, I just don't want the actual act of getting married, because I think it's pointless, as I'm not religious.

Having children doesn't appeal to me, so I don't want that and I think it would really trigger the massive change I mentioned first and it's not one I'm willing to implement in my life, nor is it one I think I could tolerate.

There's also one thing that would probably make me highly unprepared for a relationship and that's my ability to hold a grudge, like if I have an argument with someone and I'm not on talking terms with them, then I could not talk to them for ages and be fine with it and fights/arguments are inevitable in a relationship, so imagine that, lol.

Ultimately, I just want to live a life that makes me happy.
