How long did it take you before meeting in-person for a first date with whoever was the greatest love of your life?

I was just eating my Burger King nuggets for lunch now and thinking about how it'll almost be ten years since the passing of my former fianceé. I've been thinking about her often. How we first met on the dating site OKCupid (looooong before it went mega-woke). She initiated first contact with me after I glanced her profile, and she followed me back to mine and was intrigued by my long-ass autobiography on there and started the conversation.

One thing that kept the conversation going was that she was really good at conversing, both in written form and talking. I was too, even more than her. We would exchange books' worth of messages to each other. Seriously; each message would be like 10,000 characters and take 40-90 minutes to type. No other woman before then, or since, could match me in speaking or typing.

After about 8-10 days of exchanging entire novels to each other, we finally started talking to each other on the phone. In real life, I have a TERRIBLE Mike-Tyson-esque voice, so I hesitated talking on the phone, but she was fine with my voice. Her voice was SOOOO good, though! One of our early phone conversations started at 11pm on a Friday night, and concluded at 7am the next morning. To answer the question, about 2 and a half months. He was my childhood friend and I found out he is working with my father, so I contacted him on facebook and then Skype two days after my 20th birthday. It was in May. @mcheetah I am okay. I am pissed off a little and also having problems in my life. Now that I look I can see I sounded offensive. I don't want to be offensive with you. I like you. I genuinely do. I apologized already for that, but I'll do it again: Sorry for upsetting you. I answered a post on it recently and mentioned stuff like adult-babies and scat fetishes as not being immune to "kink shaming."
