Ok so I lied about where I live, would he accepted my real home?

We've been dating for nearly 2 months and during that time, I've been borrowing my friend's room. He doesn't know my real home yet and hasn't met my parents yet.

The truth is I still live with my parents but it's on an apartment they rent. It's plain, ugly and somewhat messy. I hate my current living situation. So I thought that if I lied about living in a better place he would like me more.

I don't know how to keep up with the lie nor for how long. Would he have accepted me if he knew my parents are poor and the place isn't cute?

One of my goals is to forever get out of that ugly place with people of in the lower class. I don't like it. I never did.

Most people can accept you for your flaws as long as you are candid about them. You didn't need to lie.

So you probably think that this isn't THAT bad becase ou have a good reason for telling a lie. Well, guess what? EVERY liar has a justfication, explanation or excuse for telling lies, so you really aren't different from any other liar that we have ever encountered.

I classify people i my life into two groups; those who have never lied to me, and everyone else. Women in the first category may be candidates for a dating relationship, but women in the second group are permanently disqualified.

I hope that, at the very least, you learn a lesson from this experience.

Nah it’s fairly common for a girl not to give out her real address until she is sure about the guy.

I’ve not told girls exactly where I lived for a few dates.

at some point though you do need to be open with him, that is when you find out if he is accepting or not.

now if you have said stuff that is an outright lie such as own house etc and embellished your parents side of things, it makes it harder to accept.

I feel bad about my living situation. I don't want to be poor forever. I hate it and was so embarrassed of what he would say if he saw my real house.

I grew up in complete poverty, we were never sure if we would eat that day or the next.
Being poor is just a step in life, it’s recognising that you can change it and how it can make you stronger.
If he cannot accept you for who you are, then you should reevaluate things.

Quite simply, if he can't accept you for who you are, and what you are, then he is not right for you.

I suggest you come clean straight away, and explain why. If he can put your mind at rest, you are on to a winner. If he kicks up a fuss, dump him.

Do you want him to like you for who you are? Or do you want him to like the lie?

You should own up to it and tell him. Just be honest and sincere. Tell him you were embarrassed about your home life and that's why you lied. The sooner you tell him the better.

He most likely will accept your home life. The question is whether he will accept that you lied to him. Sooner or later he will find out. Best to get it over with and tell him.

He probably wouldn’t care about your living situation if he really has feelings for you. What he would probably care about is the fact that you lied about it. Lying about where you live is such an odd thing to lie about, i would find it a red flag if I were him

If you have to pretend to be someone else then what is the point of the relationship. Just tell him what you did and why you did it and hope for the best.

What can I do now? I was too ashamed of still living with poor parents and I thought he wouldn't like me for that.
