How to be comfortable with your boyfriend mentioning every time a woman look for him and how he turns them off because he "gives me my place"?

I met this guy three weeks ago, I have been dating him since I met him. He presented me to his friends. He asked me to be his girlfriend after two weeks and said I love you ever since we are officially dating. I do not love him just yet because it takes me time to love someone but I do say te quiero to him, is like love you but not necessarily love you like madly love you... We are doing plans of present each other to our parents within this week or the next one.
He is bartender. I sometimes stay at the bar with him, since I'm friends with the people he works with, thus I hung out there. That first day he invited me over to the bar, he told me a girl ask him who I was (since I was behind the bar) and how she likes him, he told her I am his date and turned her off. Thank you, I said, since I felt how he gave me my place. Another situation happened where a woman who they were into each other in the past but preferred to do anything because she was the ex of his former friend and roommate. She called him, he missed the call and asked her, she said it was about he moving jobs to another bar. He said he didn't answered after that because he wants to give me my place.
I wonder how is he giving me my place if he didn't mentioned he is with someone, yet, is weird he is saying they only say hello to each other when they run into each other, how they don't even talk but yet, she is looking for him and wondering about his job when he didn't said anything about it until yesterday and it was to me... He said he didn't feel worried since he doesn't care about her and how he is doing everything for this to work out.
