I definitely don't because I love being social
+1 yI do sometimes. it takes me a really long time to warm up to people. I've been this way since I was a child. I was always the quiet one and super shy. I feel like I may be sensitive to peoples energy and I can tell if they have bad energy or if they are going through something. i always warned my friends about certain people and I am always right about them.
I get jealous because I wish I could just bond with whoever. but at the same time im happy I don't let everyone in because I don't go through half of what people with 10000 friends go through. I have my select few REALLY GOOD friends and im happy with that ! lol

+1 yIt's funny, as an executive at my employment; I discover lots of people want to "connect" and "socialize" with me whereas years prior I was ignored like the plague. People are funny- the social atmosphere brings about the "surface" friends and it becomes hard to distinguish who really has your best interest at heart. I've had people come and go from my life. Most people want to connect out of some benefit to themselves.
In the end, what's important is building yourself. I've learned, at least for me, building myself is best and most productive when it doesn't involve impressing other people.
Don't spend money you don't have, to buy things you don't need, to impress people you don't like.

+1 yI get jealous if the reason for their success is my suffering. For example, I have a friend that gets HELLA women for being the guy with the single friend. I have been there when it happens. It'll be him and like 4 or 5 women and maybe another guy and they'll just sit there and talk about how I'm single. It never starts out that way but they'll be talking about relationships and exes and I can't join in because I've never had one. Then they notice I haven't said anything in 30 minutes and find out that I'm forever single. Then it just escalates. It's just a slight annoyance though, nothing too bad.

+1 yIt's not that I get malicious with it, I just don't understand why I don't have friends.
Some people can be so cruel.
I've always been an outsider and the only time I was kind of accepted I was seen as a bit of an alcoholic clown.
I didn't drink more than anyone else, but I was always the single girl friend, I was always looking to have a laugh, so noone took me seriously00 Reply

Well if anybody says yes they need to start thinking about things because if you are jealous from somebody because of that then you need to be aware it's your fault you're the one that needs to open up you're the one that needs to engage your social life any part of your life only happens because you wanted to or you don't want to do it's a choice so wake up if you want social life make it happen send me a message if you're shy say hello break that ice you have to change the way you think if you want a better social life

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 ySometimes, yes. When I’m not included and everyone else from a group I belong to is invited or comes along, sure (Especially since so don’t think I’m all that difficult to get along with).
I understand social media can show a fake image of popularity. I’m quick to realize I may not have all the details.
I can be introverted. The “wrong” type of party for me - can be draining. If that’s the kind of party, I’m fine with not going. I’m not into the drugs scene, I’m not a heavy drinker. I can have fun without it. But sometimes I do wish I was more outgoing, a bit more natural, and a little cooler.00 Reply- 5.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
u +1 ynope... I do not
for the most part, I am living my life the way I like to live it
and when others are having a great time in a way they want to live, that doesn't have to affect me and it doesn't really affect me... lol20 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNot social life, but maybe social skills lol. Some people can walk up to someone they've never met and have a meaningful conversation with them, like they've known them for years, and it always amazes and confuses me. I'd definitely say there's a little envy there. I try, but it's never felt quite as natural as other people make it look

The ones who tend to always talk the talk or post massive amounts of selfies are very insecure and are always looking for approval from others but in reality the quiet ones who don't brag nor complain are the ones who walk the walk regardless of what people say or think

+1 yNah, consider the percentage of people that you come across that you have literally NO desire to interact with socially. I'm good with having a few people around that I consider to be high quality
00 ReplyNo. I don't.
We have ups and downs.
Focusing on how I down compared to others does not help me getting up. Just try to climb higher, I guess. Maybe they lack growth and I'm having a super growth that could jump over them 100 times!00 ReplyOccasionally, but I try to think how to improve mine, there's always a reason psychological or material that someone has a better relationship with another.
00 Replyhard no, used to do when I was younger but really, if someone is happy, Im happy for them but a small (very small) social circle of good people i know and trust is fine for me
00 ReplyI'm happy being alone and if I have friends I prefer few but true

+1 yNo, if theirs is better, they put more time into maintaining it than me. That's on me, and I'm okay with that.
