Is ''love conquers all'' sometimes BS?

For instance if you're going to fight with your parents (where you were previously living in a stable, suitable home at least and had a comfortable life) about your partner, only to have a poor, miserable life full of drama in the name of love, what on earth is that all about?

Does ''love conquers all'' works there? Nope. Love didn't get you a better life there. You went from living comfortable to being stuck with misery.

I used to live with my parents up till last year till age 25. Then I've been living on my own; a nice comfortable life still.
I'm not going to trade that for misery, drama and/or poverty just for the name of love. lol

You are quite right. I am a huge fan of Love. But Love certainly doesn't win-out by some magical shit. Life is hard, and "Love" is wonderful, but there's a whole lot more you need to handle life's bullshit.
