I understand distance and relocation over a long distance is hard, you have to leave things and people behind, and a lot has to fall into place, but how important are they to you? Can you make it happen

I have found that breaking out of your shell and moving away is a huge eye opening experience, I have done it. Not for anyone else but myself, but it is a hugely expansive part of life that I would describe as crossing a threshold. You literally create a new life for yourself and you will forever be positively enriched.

Technically, I am! I don't know that I'll ever even talk to her again but, if she still wants me, I'm here for her! I'd love to have her but, I don't think I should hold out. Besides, the last time we talked, she DID SAY it was okay if I found someone else. So far, it's looking like THAT'S not gonna happen, either!! I'm probably just gonna spend the rest of my life completely alone! Chances are, she''s already got somebody, too!!

That would be so wonderful and dreamy, but let's face the sad reality, things change, new people and places appear and either you or your partner can meet new people. The best thing is to let the other go on with their life. If you make promises, just add the part that "unless you meet someone else".

It would depend on how far they were and the reason why we were apart. Also, I would think about the chances of being together. If it was impossible, then I wouldn't wait for them nor I would expect them to wait for me.
