Dating energy is easy. Everything is new and exciting. With everything being new, you can be more spontaneous..

It only becomes more complex if the dates become serious. Rare that Polies start between all partners at the same time. There is usually an established relationship with original couple. What will make it really interesting if one of the partners keeps outside flings outside the poly relationship itself. I have seen some of these relationships, and sometimes members are with other poly relationships in the extreme. In the old days we would just call that a free-for all.

As for cheaters, it depends how the find themselves in that relationship. Many tend to be from dead marriages where sex is non-existent. These people might just like the dedicated release. But there are also those guys who don't like to settle, even if they have. Just as there some women who are forever shoppers for the next best mate.

Personally I know how hard it is dealing with one partner. When you share, you can't live to the full potential of that one person in all ways, because you are between multiple people. Some are good at it, and don't mind.

I'm not really a relationship person over all (i prefere to have distance between me and others most of the time). As far as i'm aware a lot of poly couples handle it kind of like a job. They often plan who goes out with who and when. And about the energy thing it is simply something that differs from person to person. Some people have so much energy that they need more partners and some people don't need any partners

i'm single by the way and i have no clue but i think cheaters have it harder because they'd have to actually HIDE an entire affair whilst polyamorous people are ALL in the relationship so it's equal - but relationships themselves just seem like so much effort when you have another person/other people with their expectations and needs etc, don't know how people do it, especially when one's needy if that makes sense?

I've seen a lot of poly couples setting up dates and schedules for the time they spent eachother (I'm going on a date with her tonight but we can go out on Friday if you like, etc). They also have to discuss about everything so there's no drama later on which I imagine that's the most tiring part lol.

I'm in poly relationships with two women. We live life like everyone else, not really that different. In our case, our relationships do not cross over so we respect those boundaries and it helps that we all are very good friends.

Like any relationship, these take emotional investment, time and energy to nurture them. Again no different than a monogamous relationship in my opinion.

They tend to be high energy, high sex drive people anyway, and they tend not to have many hobbies outside their lifestyle. It consumes most or all of their free time.
