How would a woman feel in the following situation?

Let's suppose that there is this really good guy who chases a woman but she pushes him away because she has a boyfriend. She really likes that guy more than her actual boyfriend and she knows that he would be a better match for her, but at the same time she doesn't want to end her relationship yet.

So... if, finally, tired of such a long time chasing her without getting a single chance, this guy decides to friendzone her and moves on getting a girlfriend, would this woman be happy for him or would she feel pain for having lost a very serious relationship candidate for the future?

Happy for him

Pain for the loss of a strong candidate

She only would be jealous because someone else is taking her place. She doesn't feel pain because she feels superior and believe she controls you

It is hard to say at this moment. It will play itself out. Are you looking seriously or really waiting for her to be available?

I am not sure. I think in great part I would waiting her to be available. That's why I struggle having a girlfriend now, because I don't want to play with her feelings, as I believe it wouldn't be serious from my part. But on the other hand I'm curious to know how she would react. In an ideal world, I would just date with a woman who only wants sex, but you know that this is highly improbable as women tend to want a relationship right after having sex with a man
