Usually when I’m sick I get very bad due to weak immune system… so I truly appreciate my boyfriend helping me. Making me soup/food, helping me shower, helping me get dressed, keeping my company while I’m bedridden 🥰

Well just once I didn’t like it (the help) because it was family TELLING me what I needed to do

and I also really just needed an instant heck amount of sleep first before I could get anything helpful in my system. It meant I was weak, groggy, but also in loads of pain. The conversations didn’t help.

That was rare though, so for my partner to make food for me and ensure I had maximum comfort supplies, and TIME to rest and heal- I’d love it, welcome it, appreciate it, and…

love, welcome, and appreciate him too lol he’d have to kiss me and get sick so I could then take care of him 😂

My boyfriend doesn't do well sick, so I cater to him when he is because he's worse than I was when I was giving birth.

Me, on the other hand, have always made myself power through the sick. The only time I need catered to is when I have a seizure or when I seriously can't get out of bed & have a "vomit pot" on the floor.

Oh, heck yeah! I had a spine injury and could do very little for many months. My boyfriend at the time would take care of me. It was the best feeling ever! I obviously didn't take it for granted though and would often do everything I could possibly do myself.
He'd always get mad if I did though and tell me to relax and he'd go get what I needed instead.

But I hate being seen as a toddler. I even sent the nurses away, when I was in intensive care. My Missus knows it, and so just stays on standby, just in case.

I'm not sick often, anyway.

I can see it going two ways. Having a partner spoil me which I'd be down for or crawling underneath a house and just dying alone like a cat does when they're injured or dying. Both I'd be fine with.

I want them to cover the things that needs done outside the home. I am rarely so bad I can't handle my own needs. So go grocery shopping and stuff like that. Cooking can be nice but that is always nice, I shouldn't need to be sick for that.

I get dizzy when I'm sick, I'd love it when my family cares for me during it, so yes, I'd feel a sense of lose and loneliness if no one is there to care for me or espress their concern when I'm sick.

Even when I was living at home with parents and sisters, if I came down with flu/cold I'd stay in bed with lots of fluids/Ibuprofen for the symptoms and ride it out.
