Any extreme can be annoying. This is like me asking whether you want me to gouge out your left eye or your right eye. Both of your examples are extreme reactions to normal challenges in life. Ideally, we want to discover ways to address life's challenges that are functional for us while being considerate of others. Unfortunately, most people think primarily about what's easiest for them, not how their choices might impact others.

I like fearless and fun, as in surfing gnarly waves, snow boarding, jumping off waterfalls, zip lining, and other adventurous stuff.

I don't like tough guys.

But neurotic people drive me nuts after while. I've noticed that they constantly talk about their woas, as if the world is a big conspiracy against them. They ask opinions as a way of talking about themselves. But they never take advice. The most neurotic people I've known have been predominantly Jewish women. I don't know why that is.

Neurotic, hands down. Fearless people can be fun if they are the "Let's go sky diving" type rather than the "I don't care if those four dudes are Marines, I'm gonna start sh*t with them." type. Neurotics wear me out and I tend to avoid people like that as much as possible.

Because they're more difficult to befriend. They don't feel like they need to do all of the people-pleasing behaviors that could help them make friends

What if someone was simply “outgoing”, and did things others were afraid to do (“fearless”), and was considered “tough” (they did things like backpacking in wilderness or martial arts), but was also very interested in people and engaging in conversation/learning about others/making friends? They wouldn’t be in this category, or perhaps still annoying?
