So for a couple years in my 20s I was on and off dating apps. I think it really comes down to timing, because while sometimes as soon as I downloaded the app I was flooded with matches and thought it was a glitch, other times it would be super dry and I’d find no one. I also believe location and available men around you is a factor too.

Technical issue. At the very least, scam bots should be matching with you if it's working correctly.
