I voted A, and although I really love the opinion by the girl anon user, there's some nuance here for me. If this scenario involves my current wife and our marriage of 23 years, yeah, she gets another chance. People make mistakes, some huge, but you work through it. If this scenario is a woman I've lived with for five years, that's a much harder discussion, but maybe still the same. If this was a four month relationship, then no. But, in none of the cases is the outcome for me determined by what, if anything, they offer me. That's ancillary and unrelated to whether I trust them again.

My ex was cheating. I didn't forgive her. I coldly let her carry on even sleeping with her, encouraged her to take a promotion while my job had me work less hours and that way I was always there to leave the kids to school and pick them up. When I had made the arrangements for divorce I was the primary care governor so I got full custody of the kids the house as well as child support. Because she earned more money than me I get alimony. She still can't believe it.

As a child, I was told that a couple can survive many things like deaths, financial struggles, even starvation but the one thing you should never tolerate is a cheating spouse. I cannot forgive cheating.
