I have come abroad for a week to my boyfriends country and he has left me for a day?

I’ve travelled to a third world country that my boyfriend lives in for 1 week. Last night, his cat got sick and he was in the vet until the early hours of the morning with it. He told me he won’t be able to see me the next day because of it. Since then I have been alone. I didn’t receive any further text from him since then, so don’t know if he’ll see me tomorrow. Should I be understanding, or should he be making more time for me?

Like it or not, he loved that cat long before he loved you.


Put yourself in his shoes and understand that you would also choose to be with your sick loved one.

Why would he have to be away for the cat to be in the vet and I can’t believe you traveled to a Third World country and this is how he’s treating you, I would be concerned

No, but most people here have a basic knowledge of English. We arranged earlier to meet up every morning at 9am, it’s night and he hasn’t contacted me yet to even say he’ll see me tomorrow
