My best friend Naomi watches it, as do others I know. I’m part of the Aspie community and I think that it unintentionally takes advantage of vulnerable people and makes a mockery of them. She showed me a film of a guy who said ‘I don’t want an Indian girlfriend!’ In a definite tone and we both laughed, but I kind of feel sorry for him. At least if I wanted to, I could find a partner. But this guy was really special.

it would really help people to be less butthurt all the time. i mean in waht way do you feel that the aspie community unintentionally takes advantage of vulnerable people? can you explain a bit more?
I think it shows them in such a way that they look special and people see them as a source of entertainment rather than real people with feelings and the same desires as everyone else. I’m not butt hurt for having an opinion that is different from yours.
well they are special. i think acting as if everything is normal and ignoring issues/differences is more hurtfull than embracing the differences, accepting them and celebrating them with humor. like maybe you don't know the difference if you're an aspie yourself. but you can make light hearted maybe even self depriciating humor and laugh about it cause it's just true. or you can make mean spirited hurtful jokes. and even it's the latter, you can still laugh, cause if a person is really trying to mean to someone who has a disability, they probably have worse problems themself. so whatever. that's not gonna take away anything for you and it's only gonna hurt you if you decide so.
