The older you get do you prefer to be in a relationship with someone who has property and savings?

Not a dealbreaker for me because I have a good income with great perspectives of growth and as long as I can save for myself, I can definitely manage someone who lost a job and couldn't find any for a while. Which in my country is understood and very common, because of prolonged economical crisis.
But since the economical crisis is not the only reason behind this common situation, I would make sure the fact he doesn't have savings is not because he refuses to work, or has some compulsive disorders that led him to spend money, or is badly organized and unable to bear responsibilities, or has some chronic depression and anxiety. I would also make sure he has ambitions and plans.
I couldn't deal with that because I have a situation of heavy caregiving in my family already, so he must be at least as strong/mature/responsible as me, to bring something to my life that makes sense to spend money for, for a while. I can't manage another element to take care of.

So giving the fact single mothers (who are probably older then you) do have a situation of caregiving too (kids), it's easy to think they can't manage a "grown baby" but need a man who has his shit together, to be an eligible participant in her life. If not financially, at least as a proper parent and house chores manager, but considering a lot of men suck extremely hard at parenting and chores, probably it's easier to require them financial stability in exchange.

While if the woman is completely single and has a job, and no situations of caregiving, neither wants to have kids, I think she can afford a man with no financial stability and who brings problems he has to be taken care for, in the long term.

So, in short: the more you get older, the more you'll have responsibilities on your shoulders (even without kids, you'll have probably a loan, ill parents to take care of, your own health getting worse etc), and started plans to complete. This makes money, stability and cooperaiton important factors as a consequence.

(To be honest these requirements should be set by men on women as well, the whole discourse could be done with inverted genders in the text, to complete my opinion).

There will always be people who prioritize money over everything else. I'm more interested in a special connection than material gain. I don't need to live a fancy life or impress anyone. I love my quiet simple life and would appreciate a woman who also appreciates a quiet simple life. I prefer watching and listening to the red-tailed hawks crying out as they soar overhead over anything that overwhelms my senses. I have the property and savings, but that's not what I'm all about, and I could care less if she has property and savings... as long as she's not looking for a provider. Anyone who is looking for and expecting handouts can continue looking elsewhere.

When people value financial stability, I look to see what they've done to provide themselves with that financial stability. I avoid those whose patterns show they've just expected others to provide for them. I appreciate seeing people living within their means rather than feel entitled to more... no matter how much money they have. Too many people focus on expecting the latest and greatest rather than make the most of what they have. They bellyache about what others have or what they should have. Big business promotes meaningless spending, and too many people have bought into that and see it as an entitlement. I have no problem sharing what I have, but I get turned off when people don't appreciate what exists... preferring to focus on what others should or shouldn't do with their own property. I tend to avoid letting people enter my home, due to the frequent criticisms and "helpful" suggestions they've heaped on me.
