I agree that love doesn't always follow the rules.
Love is a complex and deep emotion that can be difficult to control or predict.
Often, love can lead people to make emotional decisions instead of logical or rational decisions, which can lead to situations where established rules are not followed or ignored.
For example, someone who falls in love with someone outside of her social group or who is in a committed relationship may decide to follow her feelings instead of following established social or moral rules.
However, it is important to keep in mind that love is not an excuse to justify inappropriate or harmful behavior towards other people, and that it is often necessary to balance loving feelings with responsibility and respect for others.
Exactly.
What rules? There are rules?
Yeah kind of. You don't fall in love with someone who is already married to someone else and insert yourself into that relationship but people do under the excuse of love. I would say that's an unstated rule.
I was tempted once by a very pretty, very bright, but very married nurse. Nonetheless, I have always followed that rule.
I think most do but as the saying goes Love doesn't always follow the rules and families are destroyed.
Thanks for MHO, Coach!

Dude, my whole life all the pieces of paper and binary code are exactly cut and perfectly filed together according to protocol.
I have no idea about, love or whatever else, not following the rules... like the idea you are propagating here. ;-)
Propagation is the way Mandalorian.
Agree. What rules for love are there? I can only think of very few.
There is also the saying: in love and war everything is permitted. Most of the time this means something different but I can see a similar meaning behind it too.
The few rules makes maybe sense in a lot of cases but hujans are not robots so we are not all the same. Maybe in some cases the rules dont make sense but neither dies changing them because there is one exception.
Disagree. Everything works by Law. If you fail it's because of what's inside of you. No such thing as luck.
That sounds a bit morbid but okay cool man lol
i have a personal rule. no matter hoe much romantic feelings i have for someone if i don't feel true love and care for yoy i will never be with yoy and my romantic feelings will fade eventually anyway
that statement is so vague that i can't even tell whether i disagree or agree xD
check out the convo I had with oldernwiser.
i agree with @OlderAndWiser actually. the only rules there are, are made by yourself. you can change the rules as much as you like or break your own rules. so i guess circling back to your initial question, the answer would be "that's up to you" or "that's up to the individual".
The individual will say hey I am in love don't care if she is married. Hence Love doesn't always follow the rules... hence the person using LOVE as the excuse for not following said rule... written or not.
from whence did the rule of "not going for a married chick" come in your example? are you speaking of "a general rule" or are you speaking of the own internal standards of the individual in this example?
It's not binary or specific. It's whatever people feel is right. Rules are created from people and how they deem their morality. So that is why the question is the way it is.
i mean if you never had the rule "not to date married chicks", you wouldn't break it if you did so. that's why i say it depends on the individual.
I don't disagree in your interpretation. Thanks for the comments.
rules are different from person to person. i think the rules are pretty much determined by a persons self-worth or level of desparation to get a partner or get laid. so like if you have very little self worth or are very desparate, you'll probably have no rule about not dating a married chick. but if you aren't desparate and value yourself, you won't date a taken chick.
Love doesn't always follow the rules. You can say it's the individual I am saying in the end it's LOVE itself they hide behind for making those decisions therefore it's love that doesn't follow the rules. It's just interpretation at this point. I don't need for you to agree because I don't disagree with you how you see it.
i think "love" being the vague ass word that it is, isn't very usefull to explain opinions. i see what you're trying to say and i realize we're not disagreeing. i'm just being pedantic, cause as a german i like to be as precise in my articulation as i possibly can xD
I understand but it's not what I am looking for with the question. Anybody can get in the weeds with things just not fruitful with written language.
if you wanna be fruitful with written language, avoid vague words ;) effective communication works best with words that are mutually understood.
I disagree. Love isn't vague in the USA. And I want people to interpret the question they see fit. Otherwise they would just say YES OR NO.
being precise doesn't mean being simplistic or binary. being vague "to me" just means you said something and you don't even know what you said yourself xD so the other knows even less what you're saying.
Agree but that doesn't apply here.
Well there aren't any. There are, but girls flaunt them and want to get paid for sex/pleasure. And to then argue how they are underpaid - even if they get paid for pleasure whilst men get paid for risk and pain.
Love has three rules.
Rule 1: Call me Sir
Rule 2: Ask permission to use my property
Rule 3: Think of me when you climax
Failure to comply will result in penalties.
I totally agree, love can be blinded and you only see or think you see things,
love seems to has its own rule set and its different for each type of person. for one person they need that love in the form of words, other its touch, etc,
What rules? Seems like everyone has their own. You're not going to have the same rules as someone else. Compromise is part of the deal.
Rules are the lowest common denominator of human behavior. They are a substitute for rational thought.
In love, if it doesn't feel right, it isn't. And whatever does feel right, is.
Coach let's put in this way love dosen't have any rules.
No. But it's typically not far off from the rules.
What rules are you talking about
Haven't you heard the old saying "All is fair in love and war" meaning there are no rules
What rules are you talking about? Sounds like a cheesy romcom
they are rules?
So many rules lol
Rules? What rules?
Unfortunately yes. It is true.
Love is weird and wonderful. No rules.
Agree ish…as an anti authoritarian im not sure what the “rules” are everyone cares about.
