When your boyfriend says that you are lucky that he loves you what does that actually mean? And how should I respond to it?

It means you did something stupid or annoying and he put up with it because you're special to him. Basically it's saying "I don't like this, but I'd do anything for you, so whatever"

The guys on here who are saying its a narcasistic self absorbed thing, do not understand what it actually means.

Its actually the exact opposite, it's putting you on a pedestal. But its also a sort of test, to see if you will abuse it, or instead put him on a exception based pedestal when he's acting annoying or stupid too.

It's part of the whole "for better or worse" part of marriage vows.
