Why can’t I stop thinking my girlfriend is lying to me about her cutting her guy friend off?

So her guy friend was toxic to her and I also didn’t like him to begin with and after awhile she said she cut him off and sent me a screen shot of what she said and for some reason I can’t stop overthinking it like she’s lying or something I know I’m overreacting but why don’t I believe it or fully trust her? What should I do?
