In no way shape or form how I acted was okay. I took it upon myself to learn & to become a better person. I notice she's still holding onto it. And that's fair. She has every right to feel how she does. But I have to move on now. Am I wrong to close this chapter for good?

Nah, you are not wrong. I can't say how many times I have said sorry for things just to maintain the peace and then have the apology thrown back in my face. At the end of the day. people that never apologize for shit, or never seem to be stratified with an apology that is given in good faith... these types are emotional abusers and manipulators trying to control you.

They use these tactics to get you inside your own head, and then eventually take responsibility for their actions as if it was your fault to begin with. Its BPD type shit. They get you questioning your own sanity, so they can exploit you emotionally.

I don’t know what your situation is but in general, you can always try to show how your sorry and show them that you are changing whatever it is (action/words/etc). You can ask them questions on they feel and listen to what they have to say. After that, if you don’t get a response from them, and you have done your part, the just move on and let whatever it is go. If you don’t let it go, it will eat you up inside and would not make the situation or how you feel any better.

You have done what you could!! You are able to own up for your mistake and be honest about to yourself and the victim. You learned from it, appolgized to the victim and its up to the other person wether they can move on and forgive or not. We all make mistakes sometimes and the only thing we can do is understand, learn from it and make sure it won't happen again. So yeah moving on is okay for you to do
