I crushed on Light Yagami for the begining. I thought he was like me, hard worker and against the wrong doings of other people. I crushed on him till the point he started thinking that he's a god himself and he got that ego and became a criminal. After that I started crushed on L (Ryuzaki and Ryuga was also his code name I guess). I like how he was so strong in psychological terms and how he already knew he Light as the holder of Death note. I couldn't watch the whole series after the death of L, I just liked him so much. The whole series becomes boring after the death of L for me.

Yes he gets killed, after L the younger carbon copy of L starts the investigation. While L was a great fan of food, the younger L was a great fan of toys. I have seen few episodes after L's death but they were boring and I just watched them for the sake of watching.
