I was planning on moving to Colorado maybe forever. I was going out there with another kid. I even helped him fix up his car so it would make the trip. I had impacted wisdom teeth and I wanted to get them out before I left. I had them removed in the hospital and it took a few days before the swelling went down. I called this kid to tell him I was good to go. His mother told me he left without me. I was angry but I was still in town to go to my family's vacation home on Memorial Day. I was cleaning up the yard when a group of 8 or 9 people walk by. My friend was with me and he started talking to them. I just kept working until I noticed a girl wearing cutoff jean shorts and worn out old sneakers. She had the prettiest smile I ever saw. I tried to talk to her but she totally shut me down. Later I went down to the beach and tried again and this time she told me that she just graduated from college and she lived near where I lived. She would not tell me her name because she didn't want anything to do with me. I ended up going to her college library and getting her yearbook. I went through the whole thing until I spotted her picture with that same smile. I got her name and was able to look her up in the phonebook (this was the 80's). She asked me how I tracked her down and I told her. She was actually impressed that I went through all that trouble. I asked her if she would go out with me and she said that she was starting a new job out of state and was leaving the next day. I chalked it up to my crappy luck and forgot about it. A month or so later I ran into her again at the beach and we spent a lot of time together and decided we would try to date each other. A year and a half later we got married.

1. We found each other on Zoosk and we had our first date within two weeks. That was December 2020. We are now engaged.
2. Love at first sight does not exist. LUST at first sight certainly exists. FANTASY at first sight exists. You can't love someone if you don't know them, and that takes time.
3. We lived 80 miles apart. I travelled to her hometown for dates every weekend for the first three or four months, then she started to come to my hometown occasionally. After 8 months, she moved to my hometown and we began living together.
4. It's easy to feel excited about someone when you are going out on dates to nice restaurants, taking trips, having weekend excursions and getaways. The real test of a relationship is whether you have fun when you go to the grocery store or you are at home doing laundry.
5. I gradually fell in love with her when I got to know her character, her values, her loyalty, and her commitment to me.
We met in 6th grade and we pretty much instantly became best friends but as the years went on and we got a little older I started noticing how cute he is and I developed feelings for him but I was way too scared to scared to tell him because I was afraid that I told him I liked him and he didn't like me back things would be weird between us anyway fast forward to our last year of high school he kinda started dropping hints that he liked me too like I was cold one time and he loaned me his jacket, he held the door open for me while I was on my way to class and he let me go ahead of him in the lunch line but I was oblivious and thought he was just being nice anyway fast forward to last year it was the summer before we started college and he texted me and asked if he could tell me a secret and I said sure and he told me that he liked me and asked me to be his girlfriend and I obviously said yes and we've been together for almost a year now
last year i would sit next to him all the time on the bus and my friend would sit next to this other guy and my bus driver would try to get us to all have a "double date" to McDonalds for some ice cream and eventually i started to like him i mean like i would always flirt with him and shit but i really started to like him i made my friends tell him and he said that he liked me back so we started dating and now we have been dating for a little over a year and the funny thing is his sister is in my age and he is a year older than me

It was actually her who asked to exchange numbers, which is rather rare with me, but it was tough to get a date with her, as she did not feel quite ready for dating after a breakup.Told the story a million times on here. He approached me one day while I was shopping. He hit it off immediately.
