Do you ever think that the only reason you are chasing after someone is because it's more of a trophy 🏆 than the genuine need to be with them?

Take for a example there is a person you have been hoping to match with at some point in life cause you think you would have great chemistry or connect so well... And they keep rejecting you over and over again. Then one day you feel like you have them where you have them, would you want to get them as a trophy or it's a genuine feeling?

I never was into the trophy thing. it's always gonna be about the 'Hogs©'🍈🍊 if they flatbread I make pita jokes.. rye you know go pumpernickel they want the treatment or put you in the spy program you be the 'broke smoke©' that's on one or a crew with texting SMS videoshare.. but they all know just like 'loveisanactionword' that a 'trophyfitsinyourfist' if there's ever a stale moment she playing with em trying to prove she belong about em.. just was short lived revenge I hope we could get back with the program after tossing and flossing..

I'd say it's more common for guys to "catch and release" than for girls, especially if they're between 18 and 25 or so. Some folks like the chase much more than the capture, which feels anti-climactic. I think if you view a relationship as a game, that's what happens. If you view it as something you want to keep and nurture for whatever reasons, you get a very different result.

I think there's usually a mixture of wanting a trophy and genuinely wanting to enjoy them as a person, even if we don't realise it ourselves. We see someone with qualities or attributes we would want in a partner, and we also admire them to some extent otherwise we wouldn't want to be with them and see something in them we like. We also have a tendency as humans to want to "show off" our partner and have someone impressive on our arm. But those same qualities are what makes us think we would vibe with them well.

So I think it's both.

I don't chase after anyone. But yes sometimes I wonder why I even want to date when women give so little. I guess it's just because I assume they just need to be showed real love and then they'll open up and return it in kind. But a reports have proven this is a false assumption. Anymore I just try to stay even keel about it. Not get to up or too down. I just try to enjoy myself until she inevitably flakes.
