just for the sake of question here, let's assume the more rules you impose on your kids, the more creative they get with bending them.

Lying is more commonly caused by inconsistent consequences. People often lie when they can't predict what will happen if the truth is revealed.

Never set people up to lie. For instance, your child comes out of the kitchen with chocolate on his face. If you ask "Did you get in the cookie jar?" he'll probably lie and say no. On the other hand, you could just make a statement rather than ask a question. Say "It looks like someone got in the cookie jar." By making the statement rather than the question, the child can see how you're coming across and will feel safer to admit the truth.

Rigidity from authority figures tends to reduce or eliminate communication and increase the likelihood of rebellion or doing things behind the authority's back. Saying one person's perspective or beliefs are more legitimate than those of others just creates a power struggle... a battle to determine who is more insignificant and irrelevant.

Look at tik tok of you want to see people who were raised by parents who aren't strict. They are selfish and act like degenerates. You have women like "amberlynn reid" eating herself to death just for money she is a selfish narcissist.

People like that don't produce anything of value to this world.

Yes strict parents can be harass and put a lot of pressure on you, but look at the world around... There is nothing but pressure and hardship. A strict parents would doing their child a disservice if they weren't so strict. They are strict but they still teach empathy and to care for others.

Strict parents raise sneaky kids, but I wouldn’t necessarily say liars. I had a sort of strict mum growing up. I wasn’t allowed to hang out with friends outside of school. So it only taught me how to sneak out of the house at night without being noticed. I wasn’t allowed to use a phone or computer without being supervised. So it taught me to put money aside from my job and buy myself a secondary phone and laptop that I hid. Those are only 2 examples, if I thought about it harder then I’m sure I could make a whole list. I wouldn’t say I’m a liar, because I never denied doing these things (though, she never asked), but I would say that I was sneaky.

Kind of. I have a very strict father and growing up I had to lie a lot to get away with certain things. I'm not proud of it but that's what happens when you're not allowed to do certain things.

I was raised by strict parents. My dad was a seargent first class in the military. It was his way or the highway. I can't stand liars. I've never lied in my life, except for jokingly. My kids know I can't stand liars. We are very strict with our kids but we have an open communication relationship with them. They can talk to us about absolutely anything.

Mostly true. If the parents are friendly along with being strict then there’s less chance for the kid being a liar and being afraid of their parents.
