When it’s their first birthday without you.
Sounds like you're still grieving the loss of this person. This is normal if it was a longterm relationship. I recall several people's birthdays who I was involved with over the years. But I'm not sad about it.
Eventually you'll remember the better things about them wistfully, or you'll forget. Grief takes its own path. You'll heal.
She dumped him.
@KrakenAttackin What? Seriously? What else could you tell me about my life?
You got a “secret” admirer girly. 😝 jk!!
@KrakenAttackin Doesn't matter if she dumped him or he dumped her. People still remember someone they loved and wonder if they did the right thing. I don't have that regret. Making my ex an ex was freedom for me. A weight off my shoulders. Over the many years since my divorce, he has repeatedly acted miserably to terribly. And he's been a weak father to our son, who at nearly 28 can't understand why. I try to tell him it has to do with home of origin problems: nothing my son did, and nothing much I did. I could've done better in my marriage, but people are flawed. I've done better alone. And I've worked at it.
I get white girl wasted on my moms bday every year. she's been gone 12 years. I miss that women every day. I talk to her all the time. She was a teen mom. I don't have any real brothers and sisters and she was my biggest cheerleader. She had me 6 days befoee her 18th bday and she always said i was the best bday present every year. I was born at 116am and every bday she would wake me up at 116am every oct 29th singing off key happy bday to me. Have cake and ice cream open presents and back to bed. I hate my bday now but i will always remember that. I love u Melanie kay i miss u mommie dearest
I'm terrible at remembering dates like that. I don't remember any birthdays other than mine, my sister's, my niece's, and my wife's. I only remember my niece's because it comes shortly after my sister's and is the day after St. Patrick's Day.
I used to have birthday reminders on my phone, but I deleted that app years ago.
Nobody but my wife and sister remember mine. Although I do get birthday wishes on Facebook when people see the automatic notifications on my birthday.
My ex-wife and I still exchange birthday greetings. Other women I've known and loved, I don't remember their birthdays.
How is it possible to forget someone’s birthday when you loved them?
This day used to be one of my 5 favorite days in a year. It was actually my favorite day.
@lafemmefatale You're 26. Wait a few years. There are more important things to remember, like your kids' birthdays. Remember... the brain can only keep 7 things in quick-access memory.
Because you delete them from your mind.
@AviatorTom. I upgraded my cache memory a year ago.

Time…it’s okay to feel the pain of lost. It was painful for a few years for me when my ex husband wanted to end the marriage.
kids young and talks about daddy … that was 2011/2012… 10 years. now.
I am happily remarried.
when we let go the the past, we open our heart to make room for someone new who will make a new life with us.
give yourself a chance to learn from and grow…you won’t even know it when someone sneak into your new life.
enjoy the journey and be good to yourself.
xoxo
The only birthdays that bother me is birthdays of family members that are no longer with us. It's very depressing for me. Just a couple days ago it was my mother's birthday. She would have been 84 years old.
I am sorry for your loss…
It must be really painful to go through that day.
Thank you. It is difficult. I've lost so many family members over the years. The worst one to go through is my first son.
I can only image the huge pain you’ve been through… I am really sorry…
It shows the strength of your character, to be able to stay as positive as you seem to be, even after such tragedies.
I hope all of your pain has been left in the past and I wish you the future that only holds happiness for you.
The perils of life makes you stronger. All you can do is try to stay positive. It's better than the alternative. It's not my style to let life get me down.
My late cat Trooper. Who passed away last year June 2022. Would never forget him 😿🥺

I m reminded of them on their birthdays. The urge to not wish is strong, especially when you're on no-talking terms. The day passes normal, I don't actively think of it.. But yeah I'm aware of it.
Curse of being good with people's birthdays (with each passing year, it becomes less bothering)
Empty. Like a vase with no flowers. A book without pages. The memories of birthdays together will hit me. My chest grows numb. I instinctively grab my heart.
I begin remembering things we did together. I resist the urge to call or text her. Its hard to let go, honestly. Its worse than being dead. At least when you're dead, you dont know you're dead. It is a pain only felt by others. I know i am dead to her, but yet I can still feel the pain. I can still feel her.
I don't feel anything cause I properly moved on, if you feel some type of way then you are still tied down to them
I’d disagree
Whatever you gotta tell yourself
I only remember one of my ex’s birthdays, and we still wish each other happy birthday. We broke up on good terms and remained friends. Some years I send him care packages for his birthday.
I forget their birthday by the time it comes around. Trauma brain is useful sometimes
I couldn't care less. I have moved on.
Like deceased parents? I remember them on every day, not just b-days.
A "love interest"? I can't remember their b-day. .
it doesn't really matter to me if they are with me or not... to all the pips i cared i just want them to be alive abd happy
Don't celebrate birthdays so no issue. Even if I did, it's the past. I'm all about the present and the future.
It really does not bother me. anniversaries might bother me sometimes.
i don't pay attention to this
I admire your ability to do that.
You shouldn’t hate your birthday… It’s in April, right or March? I have a very good memory of dates.
I do not really keep up with such birthdays.
I removed them and I'm bad at remembering birthdays so this doesn't bother me.
Unless I'm friends or in contact of them I dont care.
My wife has been dead almost 6 years, I drink to her every Oct 13th.
I am jealous of people who can moved on. I am carrying it with me forever.
I do not really think about it.
Pretty depressed.
A little sad. Wonder if they think of me anymore.
Sad.
It's annoying😐
I don't give a fuck
