Is it true that most autistic people are less likely to get married?

I read that 5% or 35% of autistic people get or are married and as an autistic young woman, that’s very disheartening. I would love to find real, healthy and honest love but no guy seems interested. Like when I get to know a guy and when I tell them I’m autistic, they lose interest. One time I went on a date with a guy. He asked what’s something about me that he should know and I was honest with him. I told him I was autistic and explained the best I could about my disability. He just gave me a strange look. He just got up and left. He blocked my number and anything to do with me. I’ve dated and been in relationships but got dumped but me being autistic wasn’t the reason. I was seeing a guy and he said it wouldn’t work out.
It looks like I’m destined to be alone for the rest of my life. I was told after my failed dating thing with my ex date a couple months ago, I should focus on staying single and my college classes and my own life and I’m only 20. My older half siblings said I’m not capable enough of handling a relationship right now and my just need to work on myself for now.

I am very capable!! I didn’t make my ex date meet my family. It isn’t my fault that they’re racist. He is half white and half Native American. I’m white.

There are plenty of things that are challenging, but that doesn't make them impossible. Don't worry about what ifs and statistics. Focus only on your own choices. People on the spectrum tend to be challenged when it comes to social skills. They can find it difficult to understand how their social skills impact others. Learn what you do that might be off-putting to others. Do you draw uncomfortable attention to the people you are with? Do you blame rather than take accountability for your role in whatever happened?

To raise your likelihood of getting in and staying in a long-term commitment, focus on learning all you can about how your choices and behaviors impact others. Show consideration for your impact on others rather than legitimize your patterns. Though people on the spectrum have accomplished great things, they often lack the empathy necessary for healthy relationships, and they tend to be awkward when it comes to intimacy.

Rather than focus on what's in it for you, look at what you add to the life of your loved ones. Practice on your half siblings before attempting to connect with a stranger, as they are more likely to tolerate your idiosyncrasies. Ask them to help you become aware of things you do that may bother others. Never give excuses; always focus on fine-tuning your own patterns. I'm not saying you have to change yourself; I'm saying maintaining your present patterns is probably lessening the likelihood of finding a partner. Never expect others to change for you.

I think you should ask yourself who exactly is generating this data.

It's not like there is just magically data about everything, some thing are being measured, like for example how many births and deaths there are, there is definitely information about that, but percentages of autistic people getting married?

Autism is a spectrum, A BROAD one.

Some people on the autistic spectrum are very seriously disabled so yeah they are going to have EVEN MORE difficulty dating than other people (which is extremely hard for a lot of people for any number of reasons).

I am not sure that this even needs to be disclosed, I mean I guess you should be sharing it at some point because it would be weird to be dating someone for a long time and them not know but I don't think that advertising it is helpful because there is going to be a lot of people out there who have absolutely no fucking idea what to do with the information or what it means and trying to explain it to them isn't helpful because when you first told them what they heard was 'I am a sea monster and my life's ambition is to destroy Tokyo'.

You should mention it when it occurs naturally, when it is relevant to the situation and you should do so matter of factly.

Because you don't have cooties you are just autistic.

I think its also important to remember that many of us non autistic people are figuratively retarded assholes.

women are biologically hardwired to engage in natural eugenics to pass on the genes of flawless men. autistic men are clearly flawed and Mother Nature doesn't want these flaws be passed on to the next generation. men are less picky and would marry an autistic woman

Let me add that specifically for autism, women are typically also better able to compensate for the adverse effect on communication. Men will come off as weird even with mild forms.
