This is a BIG reason why I'm against people your age & younger lifting heavy weights at the gym.
It was smart to get them x rayed.
It doesn't mean that you are going to grow anymore it simply means that they haven't closed yet.
Look at it like a wide cut. If you take the bandage off after a few days the skin hasn't grown back together.
This is on a much bigger scale since our bodies grow slowly over time.
You can call the office & ask the nurse your question. I'm sure they will be happy to elaborate on it for you.

Just because they haven't ossified yet doesn't mean you are going to necessarily grow anymore, it just means you have the potential to grow more.
Same thing happened to me. Made me more susceptible to twisting/spraining/etc. things, but I haven't grown in a while. I don't think I'm still like that, but... yeah... umm... what's your question?
Guys usually hit another growth spurt in their early 20's so you might be at a slow growth period right now but still have some growing to do.
