That’s possible , cheating can occur for a lot of reasons , most common reason for a guy to cheat is lack of intimacy and affection in his primary relationship , If the primary relationship started off with consistent intimacy and affection and then it eventually fades away , A guy might start to feel unwanted and appreciated by his partner , and feel she doesn’t value him anymore, or feel she might be getting it elsewhere herself , What most girls don’t realize is intimacy and affection is very important to most men when it comes to committed relationships, intimacy and affection is how most guys’ express their feelings to his girl , so if his partner starts lacking in that department he might start to put one foot out the door and open himself up to another girl that wants to make him feel valued and appreciated and wanted. A guy doesn’t want to be with a girl that makes him beg for intimacy and affection , He wants a girl that makes him feel wanted and respected , If a girl stops respecting her man he is going to lose respect for her period and more than likely be drawn to a girl that wants to respect him , For any relationship to work and for love to grow between 2 people , both people have to choose each other , prioritize each other over everyone else , Making each other their top priority , and removing selfishness for each other , and resisting temptation for each other , Always remember whatever you choose to do , your partner can do the same as well. A relationship needs tp go both ways or it will not work period , understand it’s ok to be wrong and not always feeling like you are right. No relationship is perfect , we are all imperfect people , but if you learn to choose your partner like they learn to choose ypu , That’s where love grows , We can’t force someone to love us , we can only treat someone the same way we want to be treated in return. First, most husbands don't cheat on their wives. For those in the minority who do, the majority are guys who were never faithful prior to being married - generally guys who were always selfish, self-centered, and entitled. Many are among the best-looking guys and have always gotten tons of female attention, some are wealthy, some are very charismatic, and some are just "bad boys" who are dangerous and manly and a certain type of woman is just drawn to. These guys cheat simply because they can, and they feel entitled to.

There's a much smaller group of men who cheat, and they cheat because their wife doesn't respect him, and either doesn't have sex with him or doesn't treat him with any level of respect (and these would be guys who have earned respect - I'm not talking about bums who rightly deserve no respect). These guys cheat because they feel emasculated by their wives, and if they find a woman who treats him far better, and makes sex available, he's probably going to take her up on it. I'm not defending that behavior, but I understand it.

There are certainly other reasons. Some men cheat because they feel neglected in their relationships, others because they're insecure and need constant validation from other women, others because sex in the relationship sucks, others because their wives let themselves go after marriage and their husbands lost attraction on them etc etc etc. Cheating most of the time doesn't have to do with how you look some of the most beautiful women were cheated on like Princess Diana, Beyonce, Halle Berry. Cheating is a decision those men decided to cheat because they wanted to.

People cheat when there is a void in the relationship and they feel inadequate to address the void with their partner. It could be that the partner has stopped self-care, but it could also be dysfunctional communication or not feeling safe with their partner. Maybe the cheater is tired of a partner who is self-serving and entitled.

Since there are so many varied reasons someone might cheat, the only way to know for sure is to communicate with the person and show an interest in understanding things from his/her perspective. If you want a partner to communicate, make sure you prioritize that person's feelings. Never legitimize or blame or compare or deny or attack.

The bottom line is cheaters are weak and insecure and choose cheating to boost themselves. Yes, though you may do or not do something that might trigger the action, only we can be held accountable for our choices.

Well I haven't and am not married but i have been in a long term relationship. There are a few aspects that could lead to cheating.

First is familiarity. you have seen your wife/girlfriend naked many times and obviously it is not as exciting as it was the first time. Along with this, she was flirtatious in the beginning but ceases to be. She is less inspirational to sex.

Second a lot of women shut down the frequency of sex. In the bonding phase they are always available for sex but after the honeymoon period start saying No and don't feel like it very often. It can get to the point it is so hard to get sex off wife/girlfriend it is just easier and more rewarding to masturbate in the morning shower over the cute girl at work.

In other words the wife/girlfriend ceases to be a sex object but that is exactly the reason the guy is in a relationship with them. The man is expected to show love and affection for the wife/girlfriend but the other side of the coin is being erased.

If that cute girl at work shows interest in him that will make him feel sexually alive again. When wife/girlfriend does give him sex he'll fuck her imagining her to be cute girl just as he masturbates in the shower over her.

In short men will cheat on wife/girlfriend because she has ceased to be the sex object she once was.

No, they cheat on their wives because they're selfish and they want as much as they can get. It's got nothing to do with attraction. If it did, Shakira wouldn't have got cheated on. Or Adriana Lima. Or even, Abbey Clancy.

Men rarely get attention from women so suddenly when they get options they jump at the opportunity. And it just so happens that women are attracted to married men. But they forget that us women naturally have MORE options than them and should we choose to, we could exercise those options. But for the most part, women are not as acquisitive or unappeasable as men.

It's time to stop pinning the blame on women for what we don't do or what we fail to and for men to start taking some accountability. If a 50 year old woman gets cheated on they say its her fault for aging and no longer being a young woman. Women can't win.

Maybe in some cases but a lot of it boils down to how our brains are wired going back to our earliest days a man's strategy for reproduction is to spend his seed all over the place "quantity"

It's crap. It pulls people in positions like yours into playing games, playing 'hard to get' and gibberish like it... to keep the other person hooked. But in the long term this will never work, and it's not generally healthy. A relationship where you have interminably play 'carrot on a stick' with your partner, isn't worth being in. As soon as they get the carrot, they loose interest. They don't want the relationship, they just want the feeling of pursuing one.
