My girlfriend is currently going through depression due to abuse at home both physically and emotionally I was thinking to myself since she said she wants to end herself is my love not strong enough to a point where she wants to end it all?

The thing is, you can't save her, as much as you try. You can't force depression away from someone.

Just be there for her however you can. Show and let her know that you love her and be there for her if she decides to open up.

Don't feel guilty about her being suicidal. It's not your fault. And as I said, you can't save her. You can only be there for her on the way.

It doesn't matter how much you love someone sometimes the depression consumes us so much we cannot see it or feel it. We just have this negativity telling us the world will be better without us here.

Im feel so bad that I can't do anything to help her its just saddening to see it from my perspective I'm trying to understand depression to try to help her out but nothing is seemingly working

I so badly want to help her seek professional help but she's so used to bottling her feelings and not telling anyone even to me she's only sharing a small fraction of her problems so its quite difficult

Have you suggested it? A great therapist helped me quite a lot. I wish I had seen someone when I was your age and felt a lot like her.

Nope I haven't but looking at how things are going she's not the type to open up so I think it'll pretty much be useless
