After all, there are far worse things than being thought of as a nice person. Particularly in this era when, and here I admit that I may sound like a grumpy old man, good manners and a cordial sense of friendship seem to be increasingly the exception, not the rule.

Besides, and I grant this goes outside the parameters of the question, being thought of as a nice guy can sometimes evolve into something more. What begins as a friendship can, in time, come to be more valued and if you are there for someone, in time they will likely come to value that and see it as something more.

It would depend, but yeah, I may be curious. Especially if what I am looking for in life is to settle down and have a family. I would want to know if there was anything that may be a barrier for people not wanting to see me in that romantic, husband and father role.
