Do people say bad things when they haven't slept all night?

My husband went off on me last night cause he had very little sleep. Will he regret the things he said later.

He did apologize this morning and hugged me saying he was sorry.

A lack of sleep can cause someone to be easily irritated. Minor annoyances can be treated like major offenses.

I would hope he not only regrets it but apologizes.

They are more mad and kinda like they are drunk!

They do say things and have less filter! Wow did I say stuff after framing for exams in college!

Now my hubby and I make sure to get enough sleep or be careful when tired 😴.

Not getting enough sleep impacts me pretty severely. I think it impacts everyone differently tho.


For me, not getting enough sleep can definitely make me say negative things, but sometimes I say things I regret even with enough sleep. If I recognize it, or someone calls me out on it, I’d definitely apologize.


It’s impossible to say what will happen in this particular situation tho.

Absolutely. Going without sleep feels like 40 degrees fever, almost in zombie mode. I have barked at people that way.
