Girls, how difficult is it to communicate?

Hi, I was wondering, what makes a girl struggle communicating in relationship or someone special.

It has been really frustrating to figure out why she has a hard time to communicate or even listening. When I try to tell her a problem I have with her, she doesn't seem to listen and so I start an argument and get angry with her.

The reasons can vary from person to person. For me personally I did not have healthy dynamics growing up as far as communication goes. My parents lived in the same house but avoided each other otherwise it would be arguments. If I tried to tell my dad how I felt he would tell me to basically hold it in so it wouldn’t cause problems and if I talked to my mom she would get angry if it was something she didn’t like. Whenever I was an adult it was hard communicating with partners because I was afraid they’d leave me if I talked about things that upset me so I didn’t, or they’d just get angry, or that it just wasn’t appropriate for me to talk about my feelings. It took me a long time to feel comfortable talking about things and my current partner is the only person I have been like that with. I also went to therapy for a little bit so that helped me. It is definitely something she needs to work through either on her own or both of you need to figure out ways to communicate better as a couple

When my partner and I first started dating I had a hard time communicating because of past truama. Anytime I opened up to anyone (family or with past partners) I was shut down or told my opinion/feelings didn't matter. Your girlfriend may feel the same way. And you telling her you have a problem with her and she's not listening may mean she feels like you're critizing/judging her. Her automatic response because of the trauma is to shut down or not listen as a way to protect herself. Im not saying this us right of her to to, but this may be why she's acting like this. Be open and honest with her, tell her you dont want to argue just to get a point across and that just because there is conflict doesn't mean you dont love her any less, you just want to have a stronger relationship. It may take her time but be patient and understanding while she does her part in healing and opening up to you

And it is really hard to try be patient with her because she's the only girl I would go to talk and she hasn't talked to me for a month.

Everyone handles things differently. I see you like to handle things straight on and would like to talk about the issue right then in there. Sometimes (I’m not saying she’s that way) people like to have their space to think (their way of handling it) or maybe she’s emotionally unavailable and her way is just to ignore your needs so she doesn’t have to deal with such. But Since she’s that way you should definitely ask her out y’all can compromise into talking about the issues.

It’s not hard to communicate with someone who wants to communicate with you. You may think the person isn’t a good communicator but they probably don’t care about what your saying,
