Have you ever experienced that what you thought is definitely a green flag for you and when you enter the relationship you realized that it is overlooked?
Mine's kinda silly but here goes. Occasionally I like to mess with the people I know, fib something to see how they react. When meeting a person earlier this year I was introduced as a major Attack On Titan fan, and the person told me they loved it too. So I made a joke and said 'no, I actually hate it.'
Almost everyone I've done this to has changed their belief immediately. Right after I said this, the person shrugged and said 'I understand, it's pretty terrible', despite him being a fan of the show for years.
My boyfriend is the one exception. If I mess with him like this, his belief doesn't change. It's a simple green flag, but it told me that he was a truly sincere person, who didn't change to fit in. It's something he doesn't notice in himself
