Why does everyone, including my buddies and strangers, compliment my ex girlfriend on her looks saying she's beautiful but say nothing to my current girlfriend when she is standing right there as well? I can tell that it makes my girlfriend feel awkward when she gets ignored.

My girlfriend also tends to get jealous and says she feels insecure when everyone says how beautiful my ex is and they say nothing to her. I try to reassure her that she's so much better than my ex but she feels like she doesn't measure up because of what other people say. What should I do?

She needs to find her own confidence, you shouldn’t have to talk bad about your ex in order to raise your current gf’s confidence.

She should have the confidence that since she’s your girl, she’s good enough.
